Franklin’s Harpeth Hotel Restaurant Embraces CommunityRoots and Culinary Innovation
ATLANTA, GA., April, 2025 – SAVOR, the global award-winning food and beverage division within Valor Hospitality Partners, is proud to announce the relaunch of 1799 Kitchen & Cocktails—now rebranded as 1799 Kitchen & Bar Room— in collaboration with The Harpeth Hotel. This transformation marks a new chapter for the Franklin, Tennessee destination restaurant, blending thoughtful innovation with a strong connection to local heritage.
Guided by SAVOR’s kitchen and bar expertise and deep respect for regional identity, the refreshed 1799 Kitchen & Bar Room will debut an enhanced menu, newly imagined interiors, and expanded outdoor dining—all designed to foster connection and elevate the guest experience.
“This wasn’t just about a rebrand. It was about taking a beloved local institution and giving it space to grow,” said SAVOR’s, ChrisMartha, Global Head of Food & Beverage. “We listened to the Franklin community, we collaborated with local leaders and brought in our most creative culinary & beverage minds to ensure that 1799 evolves while staying true to its roots.”
The updated concept is the result of months of work between SAVOR’s team, Harpeth Hotel leadership, and the Franklin community. A series of intimate focus groups with loyal patrons and local business owners helped shape the layers of the refresh—from menu development to the ambiance of the dining space.
“We curate every SAVOR concept with culinary purpose—one that celebrates local ingredients, creativity, and a strong sense of place,” said Matthew Gray, SAVOR’s Global Head of Culinary. “At 1799 Kitchen & Bar Room, that purpose comes to life through a menu that’s as rooted in Tennessee tradition as it is refined in execution. It’s where comfort meets innovation on every dish.”
At the heart of the relaunch is The Harpeth’s Food & Beverage leadership, Executive Chef Thomas Tuggle and Director of Food & Beverage, Jason Francis, whose elevated approach to regional classics anchors the menu by doing the simple things brilliantly.
Beyond the menu, the physical space has been refreshed with new table settings, décor, uniforms and dynamic plating presentations, creating an atmosphere of laidback luxury. Plans are also underway to expand the property’s outdoor courtyard, adding ambient lighting and additional seating to create more opportunities for connection in every season.
1799 Kitchen & Bar Room officially has reopened continuing its legacy as a refined yet approachable gathering space for locals and visitors alike. With SAVOR’s blend of kitchen and bar excellence and community-first thinking, this relaunch signals more than a new chapter for Franklin—it sets a bold new standard for destination dining across the region and reaffirms SAVOR’s role as a driving force in shaping what’s next in hospitality.
