A win for Valor Hospitality UK and Europe at the 2025 Springboard Awards for Excellence

Valor Hospitality UK and Europe has won at the 2025 Springboard Awards for Excellence at Wembley Stadium in celebration of its outstanding team engagement.

Winning the coveted Employee Engagement Award closely follows new data that shows 87% of team members feel proud to work at Valor. It was also shortlisted for The Best Recruitment Initiative Award, reflecting the business’ continued investment in creating a place of belonging for everyone.

Valor seeks to put people at the heart of the business, and has invested in an engagement strategy to ensure it retains its focus on a happy, safe and supported team as the business continues to grow.

Success at the Springboard Awards for Excellence follows Valor UK and Europe’s annual engagement survey, which found an impressive 88% of team members feel satisfied with their job and 87% feel empowered to work.

This is thanks to its four key approaches to engagement:

  1. Empowering individuals to be themselves
  2. Providing access to career progression programmes and nurturing     talent within the business
  3. Opportunities to be part of steering groups to help drive     change within the business
  4. Employee recognition

One key project is the Infinity Group, made up of 20 individuals from across the business. The group has launched menopause and transgender policies, facilitated Travel Proud training, reviewed uniform standards and enabled the business to become a Disability Confident employer.

Moira Laird, People and Culture Director at Valor Hospitality UK and Europe, commented: “It’s an honour to be celebrated for our commitment to making hospitality a rewarding and enriching career opportunity. We are firm believers that team engagement is critical to our business success so it's refreshing to see that recognised by the industry. Hospitality attracts people from all walks of life, whether as guests or team members, and through our engagement strategy we hope to offer a truly inclusive and supportive experience for all.”

The event was a huge celebration for the entire hospitality industry, raising a record-breaking £179,000 for The Springboard Charity through sponsorship, ticket sales and fundraising.

This will help to fund the charity's valuable work to future proof the talent pipeline for hospitality and tourism by promoting the industry, attracting talent and equipping individuals with essential skills through its employability training courses and careers programmes.

A huge congratulations to the other winners doing great work to improve the hospitality industry.
